(More customer reviews)I have a canister on my kitchen counter for regular flour, but I also regular use bread flour and wheat flour, both of which I was storing in my pantry in their original bags, which generally left a big mess behind every time I went to use either one. My sister gave me the idea of storing the flours in containers instead, but it was hard to find something just right--the container had to fit an entire (5-lb.) bag of flour, and it had to easily fit in my pantry.
These containers are perfect! They are definitely a good size, with plenty of room for a bag of flour (and then some, so no problem if I have some leftover from the previous bag). However, at only 9" high, they are also a bit on the squat side, so no problem fitting them on my pantry shelf. As with all Snapware products, the easy-locking lid provides easy on-off access AND forms a tight seal. Plus, this product has the added bonus of a Flip-Top, so whenever I need to measure flour, I don't even have to remove the entire lid--I simply unsnap the convenient Flip-Top! I am so happy I purchased these; I had actually purchased another product first, but I returned those once I found these canisters. They are sturdy, well-made, and so good that I plan to purchase other containers in this same line.
